Our Commitment to Inclusion

While our faith shapes our ethos and inspires every programme we run, OAKonsult is not faith-restrictive. We stand with every parent carer of a child or young person aged 0–25 who lives with additional needs or disabilities, whatever your religion, culture, or background.

Our History

A Charity Born from Love, Loss, and Unshakable Hope

In 2010, Olufunke Adeloye's world was rocked when their 18-month-old daughter, Abigail, suffered catastrophic brain damage due to a preventable medical error in Nigeria. The family relocated to the UK for life-saving care and turned their pain into purpose so no family walks this path alone.

  • 2021

    OAKonsult Disabilities Outreach founded by Olufunke and Ajisola Adeloye in response to lived parenting experience of complex disability.

  • 2021

    Registered as a charity in Nigeria, enabling formal disability-support programmes nationwide.

  • 2022

    Inclusive Church Training programme rolled out across Nigeria to help congregations create welcoming, accessible worship.

  • 2023

    Registered as a charity in the United Kingdom, strengthening accountability and UK partnerships.

  • 2023

    Project Me launched in Bromley to help parent carers thrive, not just survive.

  • 2025

    Groundbreaking begins for OAK Centre Prime in Oolo Town, Ogbomoso, Oyo State, Nigeria.
