At OAKonsult, we empower families raising children with disabilities to live life abundantly through practical support, inclusive training, and community-led outreach.
Our vision is to see families in the disability community empowered and flourishing. Our mission is to equip families and communities so children with disabilities can thrive with dignity and belonging.
History
From one family’s 2010 journey to a growing nonprofit movement.
After a preventable medical error caused their 18-month-old daughter Abigail’s brain injury, the Adeloye family navigated years of complex care and advocacy. Their lived experience became the foundation for OAKonsult’s mission: no family should face disability-related challenges in isolation.
- 2021
OAKonsult Disabilities Outreach is founded and formally registered as a charity in Nigeria.
- 2022
Inclusive Church Training begins, helping congregations create welcoming and accessible worship spaces.
- 2023
OAKonsult is registered as a UK charity and launches Project ME for parent carers.
- 2025
Groundbreaking begins for OAK Centre Prime in Oolo Town, Ogbomoso, Oyo State, Nigeria.
